Trump-Biden race for the White House

first_imgTwo things are at a constant rise in the midst of other disturbances across the globe, one is COVID-19 cases in India & US, other is globally heated US November elections. The race to be the next President of US & related issues could be seen widely in every next column of the newspaper. However, the role of Indian-Americans to choose their representative is primarily concerned by the charts or surveys been released recently. Results of a survey by the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Data show that a little over a quarter (28%) of the Indian Americans are planning to vote Republican. Correspondingly, while 84% Indian Americans had voted for Barack Obama in 2012 and 77% for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016, just 66% say they support Joe Biden.Evidently, a huge protest followed by a massacre over George Floyd’s death and Trump’s stance over China misleading the WHO & hiding the coronavirus cases kicked off the talks about political agendas Republicans are coming with. But nevertheless, Democrats are largely praised for their pro-immigration, Article 370, Kashmir, Anti CAA/NRC stances.Kamala Harris entry as Democrat’s Vice Presidential candidate is thought to be a masterstroke by Biden while continuing the efforts to uplift the Indian American community. On the contrary, Trump launched an unprecedented attack on military leadership he appointed, accusing his military leadership of advocating war “so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy.” So far, a lot has happened and still in transit, but in between all of this, had anyone thought who is playing better politics? Well, opinions may differ.last_img read more
